J1, J2 and U 13 Girls training at held at Riverhead War Memorial Park on Tuesdays and Thursdays 5-6.30pm, starting 19th March.
All other teams train on Wednesday night Starting 19th March. (J7/8 starts 26th March) We run three training slots to accommodate all grades: 4.15pm, 5.15pm, 6.15pm. Once registration and grade numbers are finalised we will be able to advise which session your grade will be training in. You will be advised of this at muster.
The first game of rugby for most grades will be Saturday 3 May - times and places will be confirmed by your team manager before then. The first round is at 8.00am and the final round is at 12.00pm - NHRU will confirm the draw prior to the season. The final game for the 2024 season is 31 August.
We will be holding a preseason Kumeu vs Kumeu festival day on Saturday 26 April.
We are part of North Harbour Rugby Union so play across that area: Mahurangi, Helensville, Silverdale, Kumeu, Massey, East Coast Bays, Marist, North Shore, Takapuna, Glenfield, Northcote. J7 and J8 grades only play at Kumeu, Helensville and Massey.
The weigh in and gear collection dates for the 2024 season are:
Thu 20 Feb 4.30-6pm
Sat 22 Feb 8.00-10.00am
Wed 27 Feb 4.30-6.00
All registration sessions will be held at the clubrooms at Riverhead War Memorial Park, Riverhead. Easiest access is via Alexandra St.
The player - we need to weigh them to grade them appropriately.
Payment - if you haven't already paid online (which is way faster) you can pay by eftpos.
Grading will be conducted as per the 2025 North Harbour Junior Weight and Age Chart. Teams will be formed following registration. This is an incredibly difficult and time-consuming task. Requests to play with specific coaches and teammates will be accomodated where practical, however there is no guarantee that this will be possible.
We ask that you respect the committees decisions around team allocations, these have been made to ensure that teams are balanced, appropriately sized and in the interest of player safety. If you have any concerns over team allocations these can be discussed with the Junior Club Captain.
Junior muster (all teams apart from J1/2) is held at the club on 13 March. Times for grades will be announced closer to the date.
Muster will give you a chance to meet your teammates, coaches and group of parents.
From here your Managers and Coaches will keep you informed of training and game times and dates.
